Stage 2 – The ‘Engine’ – UI User Interface
Stage 1, the original concept for a UI User Interface, bookkeeping transactions are not singular, transactions are time sensitive, with a (beginning, middle, and end). Stage 2, takes the Stage 1, an already powerful ‘base engine’, an adds more power!
Expanded GL General Ledger
The single version of Stage 1’s GL General Ledger is expanded by five.
First is the Opening Balances, Second is Month Balances, Third sums or adds Opening Balances and Month Balances together, which translates to (Unadjusted Balances), Fourth Adjustment Balances, Fifth adds Unadjusted Balances and Adjustment Balances, which translates to (Adjusted Balances).
Stage 2 is a Powerful ‘Sum-if’ Engine.
- Three (3) Transaction Journals (Opening, Monthly, Adjustments)
- Three (3) T – Account pages linked through ‘Sum-if’s’ (Opening, Monthly, Adjustments)
- General Ledger (Needle in the Haystack)
The GL General Ledger has ever account’s ‘Debits and Credits’ summed and totaled, less chance of making mathematical errors. Makes an excellent platform to create the bookkeeping cycle, financial statements for clients.
Bookkeeping process has three stages for entering transactions, like a fairy-tale, telling a story. A beginning (Opening), middle main part of the story (Monthly), and the ending, to wrap up the loose ends (Adjustments).
- (Opening) Opening balance’s
- (Monthly) Bulk of Transactions during the month or period.
- (Adjustment’s) End-of-Period ‘Adjustments’
